Warner Bros. launches a game in the style of Super Smash Bros. with characters from her franchises

Something to look forward to: Imagine how much fun it would be to pit Superman, Arya Stark, Bugs Bunny, and Shaggy against each other inside the Batcave while trying to knock each other off the screen. This will soon be possible thanks to the upcoming fighting game from Warner Bros. called Multiversus.

Warner Bros. finally confirmed most of the rumors (1, 2) surrounding your new fighting game launch to unveil the trailer for Multiversus. As the famous Super Smash Bros. player wrote HungryBox, Multiversus is a new platform-based fighting game from Warner Bros. in which players fight in 2v2 and 4player team games with characters from the WB franchises.

Published by Warner Bros. and developed by Player First Games, Multiversus will feature characters from the DC Universe such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn, as well as from the Steven Universe such as Stephen and Garnet himself, and Adventure Time, including Finn and Jake. Other characters on the original roster include Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry (single character), Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and the original game Reindog.

It is expected that the list will be supplemented with characters from new franchises and other characters from universes already presented in the game. Given what the Multiverse looks like, we don’t expect to see Scorpio or Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat in it, but the Harry Potter characters would fit in pretty well.

Tony Hyun, co-founder of Play First Games and game director at Multiversus, stated that the game includes voice acting for many of the iconic actors who have worked in these franchises. Some examples are Kevin Conroy (Batman), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), John DiMaggio (Jake the Dog), Jeremy Shada (Finn), Matthew Lillard (Shaggy) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark).

The Game Director promised that Multiversus will support cross-play and cross-progression, as well as include leaderboards, dedicated servers, and network rollback code. Multiversus Will Be Free To Play And Is Expected To Release In 2022 For PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One And Xbox Series X | S. We expected to see Switch on the platform list, but unfortunately there is no console, at least not yet.
