Summer Game Fest is back on June 9th and you can watch it on Imax

Save date: The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) will not take place this year, but gamers have a lot to look forward to this summer. Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Summer Game Fest 2022 will be streaming live from Los Angeles on June 9th starting at 2pm ET. The event will be filled with game announcements, announcements and more.
Normally, showcase will be broadcast through popular channels including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.
Kaley also secured a distribution deal with Imax to broadcast both Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards to the company’s theaters in the US, Canada and the UK. Imax has over 1,500 theaters in over 80 countries and 50 US markets.
“We are thrilled to be a part of these fast-paced developments,” said Megan Colligan, President of Imax Entertainment and Executive Vice President of Imax Corp. “These two video game events are part of IMAX’s ongoing effort to diversify its content portfolio with more live and interactive events, and we look forward to being a part of them for many years to come. to come.”
Developer Day: Summer Game Fest Edition will immediately follow the main broadcast, highlighting interesting and innovative projects from independent developers from around the world. The event, now 10 years old, will be co-hosted by Double Fine and iam8bit.
A few days later, on June 12, Bethesda and Xbox will hold their own presentation of the games. It won’t be on Imax but will be streamed on all major platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter.
Summer Game Fest will be free to watch on streaming platforms. Tickets for Imax will go on sale May 12.
