Samsung is teasing the Galaxy S22 for its February Unpacked event

What to look forward to: A brief teaser trailer for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy flagship hints that the S and Note series will finally merge, presumably under the S22 line. Previous rumors indicated that there was no new note in action last year. Samsung’s official statement confirming the February Unpacked event did not include a debut date or any other Galaxy product; however, well-known insider Ice Universe expects the company to announce the notched Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series on February 9th.
Samsung seems confident that its upcoming Galaxy S22 will set a new standard for smartphones. Such claims are neither new nor surprising, but this year’s iteration of the Galaxy S series is expected to revive the Galaxy Note in the rumored S22 Ultra variant. According to Samsung, the “rules of the industry” are about to be rewritten.

Of course, it got harder to justify the Note line when Samsung’s own S20/S21 Ultra variants started boasting similar capabilities.

Aside from the improved camera, Samsung hasn’t shared any information about the specs or variants of the Galaxy S22, but there have been plenty of leaks suggesting we’ll get three models: S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. Additionally, the notched Galaxy Tab S8 is expected to debut at the Unpacked event.
For hardcore fans who would like to reserve a pre-order slot weeks before these devices are unveiled, Samsung will start accepting orders today at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET on its official website.
