Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra rumors point to 1TB variant, built-in S Pen holder and no expandable storage

Rumor mill: It looks like Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S22 series in February. The lineup includes the high-performance S22 Ultra model, which is expected to offer both an integrated S Pen holder and 1TB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no microSD card slot.

SamMobile writes that he found out that one variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a massive 1TB of storage, making it the first Samsung flagship to offer capacity with the 2019 Galaxy S10 + with 12GB of RAM. However, the capacity of the S10 + phone could be boosted by expandable storage, which is not expected to be found on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It seems that Samsung is giving Apple and 1TB storage in the recent iPhone Pro 13 line more than what Korean rival Cupertino is offering in its current flagships. Samsung fans will probably welcome the 1TB option, but Apple’s imitation by removing the microSD slot will no doubt piss a lot of people off. Terabyte of memory is an a lot, but the 8K video that the S22 Ultra is supposed to record will take up a lot of space.

One element that users should appreciate is the rumored built-in S Pen holder. Now that the Galaxy Note series appears to have been discontinued as Samsung is focusing on foldable devices that have had great success this year, those looking for a new stylus-enabled Sammy phone have been limited to the Galaxy S21 Ultra or Galaxy Z Fold 3. – both of these require the S Pen Pro to be purchased as a separate accessory.

But many believe the Galaxy S22 Ultra will finally satisfy Note lovers’ cravings for a phone that comes with an S Pen and a built-in holder. In terms of price, the base 256GB model is rumored to be priced at the same $ 1,299 as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, so the 1TB variant could compete with the Z Fold 3’s starting price of $ 1,799.
