In short: It’s been (almost) a year since CBS All Access was relaunched as Paramount+. To celebrate, the streaming service is offering new and returning customers a deal they can’t refuse.
From today until March 7th, Paramount+ is offering an 80% discount on its monthly streaming packages. It brings entry cost to as little as $1/month for the basic plan with limited ad breaks, or $2/month for the premium plan, which eliminates most commercials.
That advertising period lasts three months; after that, you will be billed at the regular monthly price of $4.99 for Essential or $9.99 for Premium unless you cancel your subscription. Notably, yearly and third-party subscribers are not eligible. In addition, the offer cannot be combined with any other discount. For example, students cannot double a coupon using an existing 25 percent discount.
Paramount+ ended last year with 32.8 million subscribers. That’s a lot less than the 129.8 million Disney+ subscribers at the end of 2021 or the 222 million paid Netflix subscribers at the same time, but it’s still a respectable number.
The streaming service offers a variety of content, with more coming soon. The second season of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on March 3, while Halo will premiere on March 24.
