Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4050 launch dates leaked, but no word on RTX 4060

What to look forward to: Nvidia released the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 last September, followed by the RTX 4070 Ti earlier this year. The official unveiling of the RTX 4070 is expected to take place on April 13, and a new leak appears to have revealed the launch dates for the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4050.
According to a reliable informant Zed Wang, the RTX 4060 Ti could debut by the end of May and the RTX 4050 in June. While earlier rumors suggested the standard RTX 4060 would hit store shelves in May, Wang says Nvidia hasn’t decided on a launch window yet.
In another tweet, Wang published an image that is considered the RTX 4060 Ti box design template. Packaging templates precede the launch of all Nvidia GPUs. Nvidia provides the design to all board partners who use it to create packaging material for their custom graphics card versions. The company sends them to OEMs just before the card goes into mass production.

While earlier leaks have revealed some important specs for the 4060 Ti, the product description on the box doesn’t seem to confirm any of this. Instead, it lists some of the card’s software features and connectivity options.
According to various leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti is based on the AD106-350-A1 GPU, has 4352 CUDA cores, 8GB of 18Gbps GDDR6 VRAM, and a rated TGP of 160W. The card can also have a 128-bit memory bus providing 288 GB/s of bandwidth.
There are no more details about the upcoming GPU, but gamers have expressed their dissatisfaction with rumored specs ever since they went public. The biggest concern is 8 GB of VRAM, which is not enough for many modern games. Some also questioned Nvidia’s decision to use the AD106 GPU instead of the AD104, which would have made the card more powerful.
Meanwhile, earlier rumors suggested that the standard RTX 4060 would debut in June, so there is speculation that Nvidia will announce both the 4060 and 4060 Ti at the same time. It remains to be seen how things play out, but it looks like we’re getting closer to releasing new Nvidia 40-series graphics cards in the coming weeks and months.
