Newegg combines gaming monitors with GPUs to clean up inventory

In a nutshell: From one extreme to another is the best way to describe the GPU market over the past couple of years. It looks like 180 has happened so fast that Newegg is now bundling additional hardware with GPUs to move inventory as soon as possible.

Getting your hands on a high-end graphics card like Nvidia’s 30-series cards has been challenging lately due to the perfect storm associated with the pandemic and subsequent component shortages and supply chain issues, as well as cryptocurrency speculators and miners. The worst appears to be behind us as pandemic-related restrictions are largely lifted and the supply chain becomes more flexible.

The recent transition of Ethereum to the Proof-of-Stake algorithm will undoubtedly flood the market with even more GPUs.

At the time of writing, you can get the Gigabyte Eagle OC RTX 3060 for $399.99 which comes with a 24″ Gigabyte gaming monitor with 165Hz/180Hz variable refresh rate. The card is usually $379.99 and the monitor is $159.99, so you get a pretty solid deal.

Another combination is combined with RTX 3070 with 27″ QHD Curved Gaming Monitor with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a response time of 1 ms, and 83 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Individually, the RTX 3070 retails for $549.99 and the monitor for $229.99, but you can purchase the two together for $599.99 for a limited time.

Under normal market conditions, such packages would not be unheard of given the times. Nvidia will be unveiling its RTX 4000 graphics cards in just a few days, and alleged leaked images are only fueling the fire. Clearing your inventory of the latest generation cards coming soon makes sense.

Even if you don’t necessarily need a new monitor, having a spare on hand is a good idea. It can also serve as a base for a new project or decorate an old build. If you feel very generous, you can always give it to someone in need.
