Newegg Briefly Lists $ 1,100 Radeon RX 6600 XT Days Early

Facepalm: AMD plans to release the Radeon RX 6600 XT on Wednesday, but the Chinese seller on Newegg wants – or wanted – to let you pay to pick it up a little early.
Newegg was not a proponent of this move and pasted an “out of stock” sticker. in listing after VideoCardz reported this. But the Newegg specs tab states that the card was first available on August 5, which means it went up for sale for two days.
The map was MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT Games X (pictured above), not a bad factory overclocked model. It was put up for auction at $ 1,100, which is a high figure even for scalpers. The RTX 3060, which is expected to have comparable performance, is now selling for $ 800-950 at overpriced prices.

Prices aside, the listing was otherwise reasonable. The seller, AIO, has 99 ratings and 71% positive reviews on Newegg. The listing was also harmless. If someone bought the card, the sale embargo would have disappeared by the time it arrived from China.

If you want a genuine 6600 XT, you only have to wait until August 11 for the reviews to appear. Rumors even suggest that it will be readily available.
Surprisingly, the Radeon 6600 XT has less memory than the Nvidia equivalent, the RTX 3060. But 8GB of GDDR6 is enough for 1080p gaming, with 2048 shaders, gaming and boosted clock speeds of 2359 MHz and 2589 MHz, respectively. The 6600 XT will be a popular product.
