Konami Sells Castlevania 35th Anniversary NFT

In short: A total of 14 items will be awarded, including game scenes, background music and newly rendered illustrations. Konami has stated that only one copy of each item will be available, which means at least some attractiveness in terms of rarity.

In 2021, NFTs were a hot commodity. By December, consumers had spent nearly $ 27 billion on virtual goods ownership, and there is no reason to believe that momentum has slowed over the holidays.

One might speculate that there is a clear correlation between the NFT and the players, but the data up to this point does little to support this assumption. In fact, it seems like the opposite is true, which is a bit puzzling that gaming companies like Konami keep pushing for it.

However, Konami and I are preparing to auction several Castlevania NFTs to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the franchise.

The gaming company is working with OpenSea for Auction, the leading online marketplace for virtual collectibles. V auction page already live, although trading will not begin until January 12.

Those purchasing NFTs will also be able to post their name on the Konami website for at least the end of the year.

Since this is not an in-game NFT offering as we have seen from other game developers, it is difficult to predict with certainty how things will go.
