Samina Shah is Managing Director of AI Research for Digital and Platform Services, where she and her team work across the firm to create AI technologies for business transformation and growth. She is a highly qualified executive with over 20 years of education and industry experience in artificial intelligence, engineering and data. Her leadership has resulted in award-winning AI technologies that have transformed products and businesses.

Previously, Samina was the managing director of S&P Global, where she led the company’s strategy and development in the field of augmented intelligence. Prior to that, Samina worked at Thomson Reuters, Schonfeld securities hedge fund, Yahoo! research and ran her artificial intelligence consulting firm.

Samina holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, an MS in Computer Science from IIT Delhi and a BS in Electronics. She is passionate about AI and change and is frequently invited to speak at leading forums, including Ted talks, and as keynote speakers at major AI conferences (IJCAI 2021). She is the recipient of several academic and industry awards, including the best Microsoft PhD in the country, the Cloudera award for best AI/ML application, the Google Women in Engineering award, and a prolific JPMC Inventor with over 30 patents and over 60 peer-reviewed publications.

Elizabeth Bramson-Boudreau is the CEO and publisher of MIT Technology Review, an independent media company at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Since Elizabeth took over the MIT Technology Review in mid-2017, the business has undergone a massive transformation from its former position as a respected but niche print magazine to a widely read, multi-platform media brand with a global audience and sustainable business. . Under her leadership, the MIT Technology Review has been praised for editorial authority, best-in-class events, and pioneering use of independent original research to support advertisers and readers alike.
