Summary: We’ve already seen several companies launching or preparing to ship DDR5 memory kits and Z690 motherboards in preparation for the imminent arrival of Alder Lake processors. Now Corsair is launching another product designed with 12th Gen Intel chips in mind: a universal CPU cooler.
VideoCardz reports that the new Corsair AIO CPU coolers will feature a circular LCD display that does more than just display beautiful colors. It can display pump speed, current cpu temperature and coolant temperature. Users will also be able to customize the screen with animation, which we see more often in high-performance AIOs – this one from Barrowch has a resolution of 1440p and an HDMI port.
The cooler has heatsinks with two and three ARGB backlit fans. There is no mention of whether the fans are new from Corsair or already present in other products from the company, although they appear to be the first.
The AIO will come with mounts for the new LGA1700 socket, which will debut with Alder Lake. The cooler has been shown to work in conjunction with an Asus Prime Z690 motherboard with Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory, suggesting that all of these products will launch at the same time.
Corsair says it will post more information on its new AIO later this week.
If you already own a Corsair AIO and are looking to upgrade to Alder Lake, the good news is that purchasing one of these new coolers will not be mandatory. Corsair offers “Retrofit kit LGA 1700“which supports many of its AIO all-in-ones, including the Elite Capellix line, RGB PRO XT line, H100x, and more. It costs $ 2.99 with free shipping. The company also sells a complete mounting kit if you need one on its web website for $ 14.99.
