The Fallout franchise has been wildly successful since the 1997 original. Since then, three more parts of the main series have appeared, the last of which is Fallout 4 from 2015. There are also several additional games such as Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 76, as well as the mobile game Fallout Shelter.
Bethesda has received numerous Game of the Year and other awards for their work on the series. No additional games have been announced since Fallout 76, although we suspect any future games will likely be an Xbox / PC exclusive given Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Bethesda.
When Prime Video was first announced, Joy and Nolan said Fallout is one of the greatest video game series of all time.
“Each chapter in this insanely creative story has cost us countless hours to spend with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of Bethesda’s brilliant sleepwalkers to bring this huge, disruptive and darkly fun universe to life with Amazon Studios. ”
There is no word yet on when we will be able to hear more about the video series.
