Xiaomi will bring MIUI 13 to global devices in the first quarter of 2022, improve efficiency and personalization

Xiaomi’s next generation operating system, MIUI 13, has been available for Chinese phones for some time now. The Chinese tech giant has announced that it has begun the first wave of the global rollout of MIUI 13. The company has shared the official list of smartphones that will receive the update in the first quarter of 2022. While the Mi 11 and 11T smartphone lines will be among the first to receive the update, this list also includes the Redmi Note 10 series, Redmi Note 8. (2021), Redmi 10 series, and the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet. The Redmi Note 11 line will have MIUI 13 at launch.

Xiaomi has general list of smartphones that will receive MIUI 13 in the first quarter of 2022. This includes Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Xiaomi Pad 5, Redmi Note 10 Pro and more.

Xiaomi has stated that the global rollout planned for MIUI may vary by region. It also doesn’t explicitly mention any information regarding Android versions, so not all phones on this list are expected to receive Android 12 with this update. Also, this list does not include Indian models, as information on these products will be provided separately.

MIUI 13 is the latest operating system skin from Xiaomi and was introduced in December 2021 along with the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series. This version comes with Liquid Storage, a file and storage management system that is claimed to support read and write speed your devices for an extended period of time. It also has an atomic memory management method that is claimed to increase the efficiency of your phone’s RAM. To further improve performance, MIUI 13 includes focused algorithms for dynamically allocating system resources. This operating system also has the Smart Balance update, which is said to extend your smartphone’s battery life by up to 10 percent.

MIUI 13 introduces new widgets in four different sizes. It also has a sidebar which is a floating window that can be accessed by swiping the screen without leaving the current application. You can customize the sidebar with up to 10 apps.
