Xiaomi Mi 13 will receive a proprietary chip for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging: report

It is reported that Xiaomi Mi 13 will receive a self-developed chip or a charging chip that will provide 100W fast wired charging in a single cell battery. The phone is also said to support 50W wireless charging. The smartphone should also get a large battery despite the thin form factor. The development comes amid rumors that the Xiaomi Mi 13 will be one of the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, which could be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to post on weibo Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, smartphone, suggested Xiaomi Mi 13 will receive a proprietary chip that will provide 100W fast charging in a single-cell battery. The smartphone is also said to support 50W fast charging. It should be noted that Xiaomi 12 series smartphones are equipped with Surge P1 which is used for power management. The Xiaomi 13 series is expected to have an upgraded version of the Surge P1 chip for better power management.

Rumor has it that Xiaomi Mi 13 will be one of the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, which can be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro could run Android 13 and have a 2K display, according to a report. It is reported that four variants of the lineup appeared in the IMEI database. The series is said to premiere in November.

It was also reported that Qualcomm will announce the launch of the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC during the November 14-17 event. The date coincides with the estimated launch date of Xiaomi Mi 13 series. In addition to fast charging, 2K display and next-generation SoC, Xiaomi Mi 13 series is also said to be equipped with Leica cameras.
