In June, sales in China, Europe and India propelled Xiaomi’s growth. Specifically, in China, Xiaomi was the fastest growing brand in June, thanks to the sales of Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Redmi K series. Notably, Samsung’s production was also negatively impacted by the new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, where the company has a factory.
The research company also notes that depending on the situation in Vietnam, Samsung may still lag behind Xiaomi in sales. However, once the situation improves, Samsung may return to the top spot.
