Xiaomi 12 Pro receives Android 13 update along with MIUI 14: all the details

Xiaomi 12 Pro is getting an update to the latest Android version with MIUI 14 in India. The phone will be updated to Android 13 and will receive an updated user interface, new features, the latest firmware and security fixes. The update package is a 4.4 GB download and users will be notified when the phased update reaches their device. Xiaomi 12 Pro was released last year pre-installed with MIUI 13 skin based on Android 12. The update also includes security patches from Google from January 2023.

In accordance with details Xiaomiui shared, the MIUI 14 update for Xiaomi 12 Pro brings the latest Xiaomi MIUI 14 UI, several performance improvements, including faster app launch times, improved system stability, as well as battery life. The update comes with MIUI firmware version 14.0.1.0.TLBINXM and last month’s security patches.

The latest Xiaomi 12 Pro update is currently rolling out in India and the European Economic Area (EEA). According to the report, this is a 4.4 GB downloadable file that can be accessed through the MIUI downloader. Notably, the Xiaomi 12 Pro MIUI 14 update is first rolling out to users who have signed up for the Mi Pilots beta testing program. If no bugs are found, it will reportedly be available to all users.

Xiaomi 12 Pro was launched in India last April running MIUI 13 based on Android 12. MIUI 14 is the first major OS update for the phone.

The smartphone features a 6.72-inch WQHD+ (1440×3200 pixels) E5 AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC along with an Adreno 730 GPU and up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. It comes with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50MP Sony IMX707 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens.
