Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge confirms 120Hz display with 1200 nits maximum brightness ahead of January 6 launch

The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display with a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, the company executive confirmed. The news comes just days after the Chinese company announced that the new Xiaomi phone will support 120W fast charging. It is speculated that it will be the renamed Redmi Note 11 Pro + presented in China earlier this year, the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will also have 5G connectivity. The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is expected to launch alongside the regular Xiaomi 11i in India.

According to tweet general from Xiaomi Senior Marketing Manager Sandeep Sarma, the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will come with a “super-bright 1200 nits display” that “supports 120Hz refresh rate.” The image provided by the executive also shows that the phone will have a hole punch cut out in the center. Although not confirmed, there are rumors that the smartphone will receive an AMOLED display. Xiaomi said last week that the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will be the fastest chargeable smartphone in India and will support 120W fast charging.

The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will be part of the Xiaomi 11i series and is rumored to be rebranded as Redmi Note 11 Pro +, launched alongside the Redmi Note 11 5G in China in October.

If the assumption that the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is a renamed version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro + is correct, then the phone will most likely feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone can be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, coupled with multiple RAM and storage configuration options. It should have a triple rear camera with a 108MP primary sensor. The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge will also likely have a 4,500mAh battery. Other features may include JBL stereo speakers along with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. It can come with NFC support and VC liquid cooling.
