When is the next Apple event? IPhone 13 release plans remain unknown

When is the next Apple event? Will Apple stick to its usual dining window for new iPhone and Apple Watch models? When will we see the update for Mac and iPad?

Apple has traditionally held an annual flagship iPhone launch in September each year, but with the rumble of the pandemic and the rise in US cases, there is much less certainty.

Add to that the industry’s scarcity of components, it is definitely harder to predict when Apple will take over the wrapper around the devices rumored to be called the iPhone 13.

We last saw Apple speak at the WWDC 21 virtual developer conference in June, but the focus is now on new products that will launch all of the software announced this summer.

Last year, Apple waited until October 13, 2020 to release the iPhone 12. This was about a month later than Apple’s traditional September window. The event featured the 5G-enabled iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, along with MagSafe and HomePod mini.

However, an event also took place on September 15, 2020, which featured the Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, Apple Fitness Plus, the new iPad Air and iPad, and the Apple One subscription package.

Later, in November 2020, Apple held its third event of the season, unveiling its debuts of the new MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the Mac mini with the Apple M1 processor.

It’s possible that Apple could follow the same pattern this year and hold three Fall / Winter events in 2021 as its hardware lineup updates.

As always, the highlight will be the iPhone 13 line of mobile phones, which could be released again in September. However, besides the iPhone 13, there is still a lot more on the agenda.

The Apple Watch Series 7 could arrive, just like in 2020, at an event just prior to the launch of the smartphones. The rumor mill suggests that the new version may finally sort out battery life from the daily need to recharge.

Apple is also expected to update the MacBook Pro line with an improved webcam, a next-generation version of the Apple Silicon-based M1 processor and a mini LED display.

There have been rumors of Apple AirPods Pro 2 headphones in recent months, but they are unlikely to arrive before 2022.

Apple Watch Series 7 design could follow iPhone 12 - here's how

With Apple still working to bring employees back to the office, we expect any event to be virtual rather than the large-scale events we’re used to at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple’s Cupertino campus.

Our money goes towards the mid-October launch of the iPhone 13.
