Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 is fast approaching, which means there will be an explosion of smartphone, tablet, and laptop announcements soon.

The question is, with so many companies and so many rumors floating around the net, what can we really expect from MWC this year? Will we see the launch of flagships from Xiaomi, Oppo and Motorola? We are breaking all the expected announcements right here.

When is Mobile World Congress 2023?

Mobile World Congress 2023 will take place between February 27 and March 2, 2023 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, where he has been living since 2013.

However, as with most previous MWCs, we expect the most important announcements to be made prior to the show. This year, we expect most of the important announcements to be made on the weekend before the grand opening of the conference, between February 25 and 26, 2023.

What to expect from Mobile World Congress 2023

MWC usually hosts a series of tech announcements from some of the biggest manufacturers in the tech world, from Samsung to Xiaomi.

While most of them have yet to publicly announce plans for MWC 2023, here’s what we expect for MWC 2023 based on previous announcements, as well as leaks and rumors.

Samsung at MWC 2023

Samsung usually releases its flagship smartphones before MWC – at least that’s what’s been happening in the past few years – leaving MWC to focus on other products.

The Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 2 Pro were unveiled last year, which means we may see another laptop announcement at this year’s show.

Sony at MWC 2023

Sony hasn’t been in an MWC show since 2019 and it looks like that won’t change in 2023.

The company said last year that it had shifted its focus to “digital and online opportunities,” so it’s safe to assume it won’t be at the show this year.

Huawei at MWC 2023

MWC 2023 will be an important year for Huawei. Huawei representative stating that “this will be the biggest year for Huawei” at the event, which will take up the entire Hall 1 at Fira Gran Via Barcelona.

As for what Huawei plans to announce at this year’s show, it’s shrouded in mystery. The company took the opportunity to introduce the MateBook E 2-in-1 along with the top-end MateBook X Pro laptop and its Kindle competitor, the MatePad Paper e-reader, at MWC 2022, and we could see the same in 2023.

OnePlus at MWC 2023

MWC 2022 saw the worldwide announcement of the OnePlus 10 Pro, but given that OnePlus has confirmed that the international launch of this year’s OnePlus 11 will take place on February 7th, OnePlus’ plans for MWC 2023 are being kept under wraps, but the leaks give us an idea of what to expect.

Instead of the standard OnePlus flagship launch rumored to reveal An all-new concept phone dubbed the Concept 2 at MWC 2023 following the announcement of the Concept 1 at CES 2020.

Xiaomi at MWC 2023

If gossip Believe it or not, Xiaomi is about to make a very exciting announcement at MWC 2023 in the form of a new top-end Xiaomi 13S Ultra, following on from last year’s Leica-branded flagship. This is a bit of a surprise given that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra wasn’t showcased at MWC 2022.

The main rumors revolve around the return of the Leica brand and the introduction of a huge 1-inch sensor, although not much is known at the moment.

Rumors also indicate that Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro tablets will be presented at the exhibition this year.

Motorola at MWC 2023

While Motorola has kept quiet about its plans for MWC 2023 for now, an internet whisper suggests we may see the Motorola Edge 40 Pro flagship appear globally following its recent launch in China as the Moto X40.

Rumors do point to a possible MWC 2023 opening, while others suggest it could debut a month later in March 2023 in India.

Honor at MWC 2023

The GSM Association has included Honor in the list of participants at MWC 2023 with a booth that it did not have at MWC 2022.

It doesn’t say what to expect and Honor hasn’t officially announced anything yet, but it aligns with the rumored launch of the Honor Magic5 series.

We fully expect Honor to make a presentation at some point during the show, though we’ll have to wait and see what she has planned.

Oppo at MWC 2023

Oppo may have had one of the most exciting launches of MWC 2022 with its flagships Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro, but rumors suggest successors could launch before MWC 2023 – so what will Oppo show at the show?

Until it’s confirmed rumors claim that we will see the global announcement of the Oppo Find N2 Flip, a serious competitor to Samsung’s foldable clamshell in the west.

Realme at MWC 2023

The first smartphone with 240W fast charging capability should be unveiled at MWC 2023 and, rather surprisingly, it will be the Realme GT Neo 5.

Realme has already confirmed that 240W fast charging will indeed be a feature of the GT Neo 5, but hasn’t said when we should expect an international launch.

Gossip are currently pointing to a release at the start of MWC, suggesting we won’t have to wait long to see a smartphone charging insanely fast.
