The Vivo Y76 5G is in development and may be coming soon if recent leaks indicate it. The new Y-series smartphone has allegedly been spotted on several websites, including Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC). It has also been reported that the Vivo Y76 5G has appeared on NBTC, SIRIM and IMDA websites, which has pretty much confirmed its existence. In addition, live images of the Vivo phone have surfaced online that show similarities to the Vivo Y76 released earlier this week in China. The Vivo Y76 5G is speculated to be the global variant of the Vivo Y76s.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has published live images of the Vivo Y76 5G showing that the phone has appeared on the NCC website. The phone is clearly listed on the NCC website under model number V2124. The Vivo Y76 5G smartphone has also reportedly been spotted on multiple certification lists including NBTC, SIRIM and IMDA. The phone is expected to support 5G and NFC. The listing doesn’t reveal any of the device’s features, but leaked images suggest the design is more or less identical to the Vivo Y76s, the latest model in the company’s Y-series. Based on this, it is safe to assume that the Chinese smartphone maker is likely to introduce the Vivo Y76s as the Vivo Y76 5G to the global market.
The photos shared by the tipster show a flat display, dual cameras and support for 44W fast charging – the same as the Vivo Y76s. Other details of the Vivo Y76 5G are believed to mirror the Vivo Y76s.
As a reminder, the Vivo Y76s runs Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 and features a 6.58-inch Full HD + (1080×2408 pixels) display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and 90.61% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y76s is equipped with a dual rear camera that houses a 50MP main sensor and 2MP macro photography. For selfies, the Vivo Y76s is equipped with an 8MP front-facing camera. The Vivo Y76s has up to 256GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 1TB). The phone has a 4100mAh battery that supports 44W Flash Charge.
The Vivo Y76s is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 20,800) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant in the Chinese market.
