Vivo Y21e specs appear online, alleged renders suggest waterdrop-style notch

The specifications and design of the Vivo Y21e appeared on the web before the official announcement. The Vivo phone appears to be the company’s new mid-range variant of the Y series. The Vivo Y21e has a waterdrop notch in the display and dual rear cameras. It is also reported that the smartphone has two different color options – with a gradient finish on both. Vivo has yet to reveal any official details about the Y21e. However, given the amount of information that has surfaced on the net, you can expect the phone to receive official confirmation in the coming days.

In collaboration with tipster Ishan Agarwal 91Mobiles reported alleged details about the Vivo Y21e. Renders of the smartphone suggest that it can be blue and white and have a thin chin in front. There could also be a side fingerprint sensor.

Vivo Y21e specs (expected)

In terms of specs, the source said the Vivo Y21e will run Android 12 and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core SoC. The phone is also said to have a 13MP main camera on the back and support for 18W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y21e may include a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It can also include a single speaker grill and a main microphone on the underside.

Remarkably, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of the Vivo Y21e. The phone appeared on test site Geekbench under model number V2140 in November. At the time, the same model number was spotted on the IMEI certification site.

According to information that surfaced on Geekbench, the Vivo phone may have at least 3GB of RAM. The test list also showed a phone running Android 11 – contrary to what is currently being reported online.

Earlier this week, Vivo expanded its Y series with the launch of the Vivo Y33T in India. The smartphone appeared as a small update to the Vivo Y21T, which debuted in the country last week.
