The Vivo Y16 is rumored to be coming to India soon as the phone was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. Now, a trusted tipster has shared alleged live images of the device showing off its two color options – black and gold. In addition, the leaked image allows a glimpse of the rear panel and camera module. Recent rumors suggest that this Vivo smartphone could be priced at Rs. 11,499 for its base variant at launch. The phone is said to use MediaTek Helio P35 SoC.
The alleged live image of the Vivo Y16 was leaked Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz). It shows off the black and gold color options of the phone and also offers a look at the rear camera module. Guglani suggests that these Vivo models may soon arrive in India and other global markets.
Vivo has not yet delved into any details regarding this smartphone. However, a recent report seems to have revealed the full specs of the Vivo Y16. It is assumed that the smartphone is equipped with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD HD + (720×1600 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch. It is speculated to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Features such as Extended RAM 2.0, Multi Turbo 5.5 and Ultra Game Mode are expected to be added to improve performance.
The Vivo Y16 is said to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth/macro sensor. It is expected to have a 5MP selfie camera on the front. This smartphone is supposed to run Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.
This smartphone is likely to be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. It is said to offer up to 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card. Vivo Y16 may offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB and Type-C connectivity options. Google has previously stated that the smartphone could cost Rs. 11,499 for the 4GB RAM variant.
