Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro smartphones in the Chinese market soon. These phones are expected to replace the Vivo S10 series of selfie-focused smartphones that were launched in July this year. Its sister brand iQoo is expected to follow suit with the introduction of two new Neo smartphones. Both phones have yet to announce an official launch date for these phones. Recent leaks provide insight into some of the possible characteristics of these smartphones.
According to a famous analyst’s Weibo post Digital chat stationThe Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC. These devices look like the Vivo V2162A and V2163A smartphones that were recently spotted on TENAA and China Compulsory Certification (3C) websites. The Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro are rated to support fast charging up to 44W, just like the previous S10 series.
Previous reports have suggested that these smartphones will feature rectangular notches on the front. The notch houses a Samsung JN1 50MP lens paired with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor. In addition, it is expected to feature a 108MP triple rear camera. According to the official images of these devices, the Vivo S12 Pro may have curved edges on both sides of the panel.
IQoo is expected to add two new models to its Neo series. These smartphones are called iQoo Neo 5 SE and iQoo Neo 5s. Both are expected to support fast charging up to 66W. The iQoo Neo 5 SE is believed to be powered by a Dimensity 1200 SoC, while the iQoo Neo 5s will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset. According to past reports, the iQoo Neo 5s is expected to have a triple rear camera with a 48MP primary sensor IMX598. It is speculated to have a 16MP selfie camera.
