Apple has announced a new color for the iPhone 12 Spring Loaded event and just before its release I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new shade.
I’m a big fan of Apple’s reintroduction of colorful products in recent years. I love the shadow of it iPad Air 4, I can’t wait to see how the bicolor iMac M1 looks on my desk and the colors of the iPhone 12 are the best Apple has produced in years.
The violet used here is not as delicious and saturated as it appeared in the short video announcing the color, however it is darker than the violent one used for the iPhone 11. As with the other colors of the iPhone 12, the back of the phone is a little more pastel with the sides taking on a darker tone.
You can see more of the color in the pictures below:
Color aside, the iPhone 12 here is exactly the same as the one we reviewed towards the end of 2020. It has an OLED display in a duo of dimensions, A14 Bionic chipset, an excellent camera and a sleek new design. Apple has also introduced its own MagSafe technology with this round of iPhone, which allows you to charge it magnetically with a magnetic charging puck.
The contents of the box box are the same as well. All you get, along with the phone, is a USB-C cable to Lightning, Apple stickers (not purple, unfortunately) and the usual documents. No chargers or EarPods to see.
