Smartphone giant Motorola is planning a new flip phone with a foldable display this year, and we may have just seen a preview in the form of leaked images and specs.
Veteran leader Evan Blass has posted blurry hands-on images of what the Moto Razr 3 could be. However, Blass believes it will come under the Moto Maven brand.
Report from 91 mobile phonessays the design will be more similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 phone, with a slightly squarer bezel and the removal of the “chin” that has underpinned the phone’s look for over 20 years.
According to the leak, it will have a dual camera setup located on the bottom right of the phone when folded and on the top left when folded. The dual camera will be a 50MP f/1.8 aperture and there will also be a secondary 13MP camera that will handle both wide-angle and macro shots. According to the report, a 32-megapixel selfie camera will be visible when the display is open.
According to the report, as we have seen on other Android phones, the fingerprint sensor will be moved to the power button.
So far, the revived Moto Razr series has struggled to trap smartphone aficionados, and Samsung devices have received critical acclaim and commercial acclaim despite Razr branding.
However, previous reports have suggested that this edition will be a true flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC doing the hard work. Blass believes this will be the next version of the Plus chip with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
According to the report, the phone could arrive as early as the end of July in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue colors.
