The App Store Awards celebrate the best apps and games of 2022
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA Apple today announced the winners of the 2022 App Store Awards, highlighting 16 apps and games that inspire users to engage more deeply with the world, expand their imaginations, and stay connected with friends and loved ones. This year’s winners represent a diverse community of developers from around the world whose apps and games have been selected by Apple’s App Store global editorial team to deliver exceptional experiences and have a profound cultural impact.
“This year’s App Store Award winners have reimagined our experiences with apps that offer fresh, thoughtful and genuine perspectives,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. “From solo, self-taught creators to international teams spanning the globe, these entrepreneurs are making a significant impact, and represent the ways in which apps and games impact our communities and our lives.”
This year’s winners represent the abundant possibilities in the App Store and the Apple device ecosystem. Innovative social app BeReal gives users an authentic look into the lives of their family and friends, and a fitness tracker Strea kinder helps users balance fitness and rest to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Good Notes 5 take digital note taking to the next level with the best Apple Pencil support. MacFamilyTree 10 sparks genealogy exploration through stunning visual family trees and collaboration with loved ones around the world, while the creators behind ViX elevating Spanish-language stories to the forefront of entertainment.
Apex Legends Mobile brings the fast-paced battle royale game to iPhone. of Moncage Memorable puzzles play brilliantly with perspective, and immersive card battle Enrollment draws players in with experiential storytelling. The Son, a Wild West tale, is a cleverly designed stealth game that looks outstanding on the big screen with Apple TV. Apple Arcade’s unique life sim Flowers of Wylde invites players into its fascinating world of various characters and magical spells, and League of Legends Esports Manager allows players to manage the most influential esports leagues in the world.

For more than a decade, Apple has honored the best apps and games at the end of each year. To recognize the impact of the winning developer teams, each winner will receive a physical award inspired by the App Store’s signature blue icon. Developed with meticulous craftsmanship, the prize includes the App Store logo set in 100 percent recycled aluminum used to make Apple products, with the winner’s name engraved on the other side.
