Technology Launches and Announcements to Expect in April 2022

April is usually not a busy month for the tech world. But this year, companies like Apple, Microsoft, AMD, and HTC plan to unveil their new offerings in April to make for an exciting month for tech enthusiasts around the world. An Apple update its iMovie video editing software with several features in April. One of the new features is Magic Movie, which allows users to create stylized, edited videos with titles, transitions, and even music – all instantly with just a few taps. Another new feature coming to iMovie next month is the addition of 20 different storyboards. They will be based on genres such as Cooking, Food Reviews, and Science Experiments to help you take shots step by step, organize clips, and explore different story structures. World of Warcraft expansion (confirmed)

Along with the release of the Overwatch 2 beta, developer Blizzard Entertainment disclosure expansion of its World of Warcraft online role-playing game in April. This will happen on April 26th. The World of Warcraft expansion will also be released shortly before the release of its mobile game in May.

HTC Metaverse Phone Launch (Confirmed)

Aside from the planned announcements for gamers and PC users, April is the month we might see the launch of the HTC “Metaverse” phone. The new phone is considered a “high-end” model and is likely to have some augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) features. The exact release date of the HTC “Metaverse” phone is still unknown.

Nothing. Phone arrives (rumored)

The Nothing brand, founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is rumored to be planning to release its first phone in April. The smartphone may have a transparent design and may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. Nothing Phone is also likely to run Android 12 out of the box with a few tweaks on top of the stock experience. Nothing is holding its event on Wednesday, March 23rd, where we could see some official details about the phone.

Vivo X Note, X80 series coming (rumored)

The Vivo X Note is said to be released as the company’s distinctive smartphone in April. It is rumored to feature a 7-inch 2K Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a wide-angle ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor. Along with the Vivo X Note, the rumor mill has suggested the debut of the Vivo X80 series next month. The new series will include Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro+, which will be launched in China first and then may appear in India.

OnePlus Nord 2T launch (rumored)

In addition to Vivo phones, the OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to debut in April. The new smartphone could be a slight update to the OnePlus Nord 2 and could feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is also rumored to feature an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and support 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging.

Realme Book Prime Debut in India (rumored)

The Realme Book Prime is rumored to launch in April in India. The laptop was unveiled at MWC 2022 last month and rebranded as the Realme Book Enhanced Edition, which was released in China in January. Realme Book Prime is equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core processor and offers up to 12 hours of battery life.
