The mobile student identity on iPhone and Apple Watch offers students and schools a higher level of security and privacy, since students don’t have to worry about wiping their plastic card. In addition, the history of transactions is never shared with Apple or stored on Apple servers. If a student loses their iPhone or Apple Watch, they can use the Find My app to immediately block their device and help locate it.

To enable Student ID on Wallet, Apple works with industry leaders for campus credentials and mobile access, including Transact, CBORD, TouchNet, Atrium, HID Global, and Allegion.
