It’s time for another release of Trusted Recommendations. As always, we have collected for you all the most effective technologies from the last seven days.

This week’s list includes a flagship smartphone, a 360-degree speaker, a vlogging camera, and even a hybrid electric bike. Read on to find out all the products that impressed our reviewers this week…

Oppo Find X5

Oppo Find X5 in hand

Oppo Find X5 comes first. Oppo’s latest phone comes with a superb screen, great battery life, and a versatile triple-lens camera. It supports fast charging and is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 888 chipset.

It lacks the sophistication of the similarly priced Samsung Galaxy S22, but the Find X5 is still a fantastic mainstream phone.

LG RP4 left view

Then we have the LG RP4 XBOOM 360. This portable Bluetooth speaker offers powerful sound, and its size means it’s also capable of decent bass extension. The speaker features a rugged construction, 360-degree sound reproduction, and even a range of ambient lighting modes and DJ sound effects.

This speaker is not small, but still portable, which means you can take it with you to the party.

Toshiba 43UL2163DB

Toshiba UL21 front

The Toshiba 43UL2163DB is one of four 4K HD TVs launched by Toshiba late last year that combines cutting-edge features with an affordable price. The TV uses Toshiba’s TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Resolution technologies, as well as support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

You’ll need to connect an Echo speaker to communicate with Alexa, but this TV packs a few premium features at an affordable price.

Roberts Revival Petite

Roberts Revival Petite in hand

The Revival Petite is the latest addition to the sixty-year-old Revival Roberts Radios lineup, featuring the same colorful retro design and vintage details as its bigger brothers.

However, just because it’s small doesn’t mean it can’t offer big sound. Battery life is also impressive, surpassing Roberts’ claimed 20 hours, though there’s no support for fast or wireless charging on board.

Score 4/5

Huawei MateBook E

The Huawei MateBook E is a great 2-in-1 laptop with an OLED screen and Huawei M-Pen 2 support. This laptop is super portable and great for those who work on the go, with an included keyboard that means you can use it like laptop out of the box.

While the weak battery is a little disappointing, the excellent all-round performance makes it an easy choice for those looking for a tablet/laptop combo.

Sony ZV-E10

The first of our 4.5 star reviews is the Sony ZV-E10. This mirrorless camera is a fantastic entry-level choice for aspiring YouTubers and vloggers. Not only is it small and light, it also supports 4K video and has many useful features such as digital image stabilization and real-time AF tracking for eyes and face.

The ZV-E10 lacks the built-in optical stabilization offered by more expensive models, but works with supported lenses, allowing for customization and performance improvements.

Astro A10 2nd generation

Astro A10 Gen 2 is the successor to the original Astro A10 headset. The Gen 2 has the same affordable price as its predecessor, but with an updated design. The headset is light and flexible, and while it doesn’t have Bluetooth support, it does come with an impressive microphone and balanced sound.

All of the above makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to market their first gaming headset.

BT hybrid connection

Hero BT Hybrid Connect

BT Hybrid Connect is a broadband add-on that lets you use your EE 4G network as a backup when your internet goes down, whether you’re in an important meeting or streaming a movie.

Hybrid Connect offers great countrywide coverage and speed to back up your primary connection at a good price, although the system sometimes switches slowly.

Rating: 4.5/5

Hero ADO D30

The ADO D30 Hybrid Bike is a step up from other ADO e-bikes, offering significantly better build quality and a smoother ride.

It’s more expensive than the manufacturer’s other bikes, but its powerful motor and cable-controlled shocks still make it a great choice for commuting.
