Mobile gaming is becoming the next big thing in the gaming ecosystem, and Sony is looking to solidify its position by introducing controllers that can work seamlessly with smartphones.
The news came from a recently developed patent that showed a controller similar to the PlayStation 4 that could be connected to a smartphone.
According to the patent image shown above, it seems like the controller can be split into two halves and then reconnected when you connect your smartphone. Rumor has it that this will be done magnetically and that the controller will be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth.
This controller is a clear sign that Sony is looking to capitalize on the growing mobile gaming markets, such as countries like China, where the esports community is very large.
