Samsung Working on WhatsApp Media Sharing Issue on Dual Messenger: Report

Samsung users who use two WhatsApp accounts on their Galaxy smartphones with Dual Messenger have reportedly faced several issues. Samsung is now said to be working on a fix. Dual Messenger allows users to run two different accounts of apps like Snapchat, WhatsApp, etc. on their Galaxy smartphone. Many users have reported problems opening and sending media in the side-by-side version of WhatsApp to their phones. Samsung has reportedly said it will release a hotfix shortly with a future update.

BUT report by SamMobile cites Samsung as saying they are working on an issue that is preventing users from opening media received on WhatsApp registered with Dual Messenger. Users also cannot send saved media files. The issue has been reported to persist with WhatsApp version 2.21.10.16 (or later).

Prior to the release of the update, Samsung reportedly advised users to forward media received via their dual WhatsApp messenger to their main WhatsApp and open it from there. To send media, users are advised to send files via Gallery or My Files and share by selecting Dual Messenger WhatsApp.

You can activate Dual Messenger from Samsung by going to Settings> Advanced Features> Dual Messenger… Follow the steps below to activate two WhatsApp accounts on your Samsung phone.
