The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 camera may not be as different from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 camera as we thought.
According to Twitter leaker TechTalkTV, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a camera module that looks almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 counterpart.
This may not sound like much of a revelation, but it goes against what we expected.
famous tipster OnLeaks previously provided renderings suggesting that Samsung’s next premium foldable camera will feature a new camera design more in line with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
OnLeaks itself responded to the tweet with a slightly resigned-sounding “Damn…”, suggesting this updated look might be on the money.
However, while it may look the same as its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4’s camera should represent a notable improvement. In a follow-up tweet, TechTalkTV confirmed previous claims that the foldable smartphone “will definitely have a 50-megapixel main camera.”
This is good news, as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3’s 12-megapixel main camera was a bit disappointing, offering good, but not great, images. And if you’re spending £1,600 on your new smartphone, you can just expect it to be great.
It looks like Samsung will introduce the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 at a launch event in August or September. In addition to the improved camera system, we expect an improved hinge design and a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
