Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will get swipe support for the split screen feature

Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have been around for quite some time. The South Korean brand is expected to introduce the latest foldable phones this August. Ahead of launch, a new leak suggests Samsung will add a split-screen feature to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 for multitasking. This feature will likely allow users to enter split-screen mode by simply swiping the screen. Other big players in the foldable phone market, Oppo and Vivo, have also introduced similar features on their devices in the past.

Ice Universe famous tipster (@UniverseIce) on Twitter claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have a swipe split screen feature. The source does not specify how the new feature will work. He could open split-screen apps with a simple swipe. On the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 models, you can access split screen mode from the multi-window tray or the recent apps menu. Adding a new feature to future models will allow users to quickly switch between applications.

Oppo and Vivo smartphones offer a similar quick split-screen app access feature. On the foldable Oppo Find N device, split screen mode can be used by swiping down on the expanded screen with two fingers, while on Vivo smartphones, this can be done by swiping vertically up with three fingers.

Past leaks have suggested color options and storage details for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The former is said to be available in beige, green, and phantom black, while the latter is expected to come in boron blue. Shades of purple, graphite and rose gold. A recent report claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 could offer up to 1TB of internal storage. The company has reportedly started developing firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
