Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 with triple rear cameras, 5000mAh battery released: price, specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 was launched in South Korea, and past reports indicate it could appear in other countries, including India, as the Galaxy F42 5G. The phone was presented in partnership with SK Telecom and is available exclusively on the operator’s website. The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 features a waterdrop notch display and a side fingerprint sensor. The phone has a triple main camera with a 64MP main sensor. It has a square-shaped camera module with two sensors located one below the other and a third sensor and flash located side by side.

The new Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 costs 4,49,900 South African won (approximately Rs 28,200) for one option: 6GB RAM + 128GB. Available in black, white and blue. The phone is for sale on SK Telecom website

Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 specifications

In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 runs on Android 11 and supports dual SIM slots. It features a 6.6-inch Full-HD + Infinity-V display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is storage expansion with a microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 has a triple rear camera that includes a 64MP main camera with f / 1.8 aperture, an additional 5MP camera with f / 2.2 aperture and a 2MP tertiary sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. On the front, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera. There is a 5,000mAh battery on board and a built-in fingerprint sensor on the side. The dimensions of the phone are 76.4×167.2×9 mm, the weight is 203 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 is listed on SK Telecom under model number SM-E426S. This is a similar model number to the one (SM-E426B) that will reportedly be attached to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. A support page for the SM-E426B model has appeared in India, hinting that the Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 may hit the Indian market as the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. Samsung has not clarified the launch of the Galaxy Wide 5 in international markets.
