Samsung Galaxy S23 Series battery, camera info hints at similar features to predecessors

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be unveiled early next year. The smartphone series, which includes three models – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra, is said to have been rumored for quite some time. Now the network has details about the batteries and cameras of the upcoming Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. According to a new leak, the Galaxy S23+ will come with a 4,700mAh battery, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a 5,000mAh battery. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are also expected to feature 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle cameras.

According to report from GalaxyClub (Dutch), the Galaxy S23+ will ship with a 4700mAh battery. If the leak turns out to be true, it would be an upgrade over the Galaxy S22+’s 4,500mAh battery. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly come with a 5,000mAh battery similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The report also states that the vanilla Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will feature a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera just like their predecessors. However, the camera details of the Galaxy S23 Ultra are currently unknown.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S23 series either in January or February. Details of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra have been shared multiple times in the past. Future phones may be powered by the Exynos 2300 SoC. Samsung is expected to bundle the Ultra model with an unannounced 200MP ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor.

The Galaxy S23 series is expected to bring a number of upgrades over this year’s Galaxy S22 models. India variants of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra run Android 12 and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
