Samsung Galaxy S23 Series base model should start with 256GB storage

Samsung is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone series, the Samsung Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23 series, which includes the vanilla Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, is expected to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February. The design and specifications of the phones are already known ahead of launch. Now, a leaker has revealed the expected internal storage aboard Samsung’s upcoming flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S23 line is said to come with at least 256GB of storage on base models.

According to leaker Ahmed Qwaider (@AhmedQwaider888), the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra may get rid of the 128GB internal storage model. Queider tweeted on Sunday, all three base variants of the series are expected to be available with at least 256GB of internal storage.

Tipster also listed possible RAM and storage configurations for the Galaxy S23 lineup. According to him, the vanilla Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ models will be available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the top-of-the-line Galaxy S23 Ultra model will come with 12GB of RAM and have 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.

It is worth noting that the Galaxy S22 lineup had variants with 128 GB of storage. The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ came with 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage models.

The Galaxy S23 series is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. The South Korean tech giant is expected to host an event in San Francisco, USA on February 1st.

Recently, a leak suggested the expected color options for the S23 series. The vanilla Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ smartphones may be available in cream, green, lavender, and phantom black. Samsung is also reportedly planning to launch phones with the One UI 5.1 update ready based on Android 13. While several phone design renderings have been leaked in recent weeks, Samsung has yet to officially confirm any specs, design details, or launch timeline for its next flagship.
