Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra Unveiled with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC: Price, Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series was launched by the company on Wednesday. The Galaxy Unpacked event unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. The latest flagship phones are powered by a specialized version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays. The Galaxy S23 family is the first series of smartphones to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have identical triple rear cameras, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the most premium model in the lineup, features a superb 200MP quad rear camera system.

The company claims that the new models offer improved night shooting capabilities compared to the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, like its predecessor, supports the S Pen. The regular Samsung Galaxy S23 costs $799 (roughly Rs. 65,500) for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S23+ prices start at $999 (roughly Rs. 81,900) for the lowest 8GB + 256GB storage variant.

Pricing for the premium Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra starts at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 98,300) for the base 8GB + 256GB storage option. According to Samsung, the phones will be sold in Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender colors.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones will be available from February 17th. Details on the range’s availability in India will be announced on Thursday (February 2). They are currently available for pre-booking in the country.
