Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will get the ability to store 1 TB

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra appears to have a significant increase in storage capacity over its predecessor with the 1TB recovery option.

None of Samsung’s 2021 flagship phones offer more than 512GB of fixed internal storage. This includes the £ 1,149 Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the £ 1,599 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

In fact, this is the rare year that Apple has surpassed its main competitor significantly, with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max offering up to 1TB of internal storage.

Samsung appears to be about to fix this (admittedly minor) smudge in its smartphone notebook. SamMobile claims the company will offer a 1TB storage option for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra when it launches in February.

Please note that we have used the word “recovery” in the introduction. If this is true, then this is not the first time Samsung has equipped one of its phones with such a large capacity. Back in 2019, the lavishly equipped Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus had just such an option.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra can be a real leader. Leaks and rumors point to a device that will be the direct successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, just like the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

In addition to its distinctly attractive design, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with an integrated S Pen.

Elsewhere, expect either Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 power, depending on your region. It can also complement a massive 108MP main camera with an intriguing detail enhancement mode.
