Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra official renders show updated rear camera design

Updated official renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra were made by the advisor. The new renders show a fairly similar design language to previous renders shared by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks). The only difference the new renders show is the redesigned camera module, which is still in the upper left corner of the rear panel. Samsung’s upcoming die-hard flagship will be part of the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the vanilla Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

New and updated images of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra shared by tipster Parvez Khan (aka Technizo Concept) in cooperation with LetsGoDigital. The report mentions that the upcoming Samsung smartphone will not receive a P-shaped camera module, as seen in the renders posted by Hemmerstoffer last month. Instead, the renders show that the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s cameras will be placed in the same location, but will be placed on two separate camera islands.

The new renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra also feature a burgundy red color option. Tipster Ice Universe tweeted Earlier this week, the upcoming Galaxy smartphone will return a Burgundy Red color option. Even the S Pen shown in the renders includes a new color option for Samsung’s uncomplicated flagship smartphone, which will soon be released. The publication notes that this burgundy red color variant is the same as on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 smartphones. In addition, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to be offered in black and white.

The publication also mentions that the unique P-shape of the camera module was derived from dummy models that Samsung provided to case makers to test new covers for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In addition, the report also mentions that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will receive a 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP periscope lens with 10x optical zoom. The latter two are reportedly different from the 10MP sensors on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The publication also mentions that all four lenses will be equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS).

In its report, the publication reports that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will receive a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED QHD + display (1,440×3,200 pixels) with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz.
