Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 – the launch event where we could see the debut of the Galaxy S22 series – will take place on February 9, according to some hints the company has provided online. The South Korean giant confirmed last week that it is continuing the trend it set a few years ago and will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in February. Samsung, however, has not given an exact launch date. In addition to mentioning the date of February 9, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in Europe has appeared on the network. The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra have surfaced online – yet again, but with more details.

According to user informed on Reddit, Samsung offered the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 schedule in one of their advertisements that appeared on Instagram. The ad included a link to book for the Galaxy Unpacked event. According to the user, after completing the booking via the link, Samsung showed a pop-up message confirming that the launch would take place at 10:00 AM ET (8:30 PM EST) on February 9th.
A screenshot was also posted on the same Reddit thread to provide links to the alleged Galaxy Unpacked schedule.
A tipster on Twitter as @TechInsiderBlog also argued What is Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Web site briefly suggested his schedule. The site in question reportedly contained calendar invitations for Google, Outlook, and Yahoo. The invite states that the event will start at 15:00 UTC (20:30 IST) on February 9, the same schedule that reportedly appeared in the event registration confirmation message from an Instagram ad.
Some previous reports have indicated that Galaxy Unpacked will take place on Feb. 8, while the Feb. 9 date could be exclusive to a standalone launch in China.
Gadgets 360 has not been able to independently verify reports of Galaxy Unpacked release dates in 2022. Samsung has also yet to announce the event schedule through its official channels.

According to Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy S22 will start at €849 (roughly Rs. 71,700) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone is also reported to have an 8GB + 256GB variant available at a price of 899 Euros (roughly Rs 76,000). The Samsung Galaxy S22+, on the other hand, has an 8GB + 128GB model priced at €1,049 (roughly Rs. 88,600) and an 8GB + 256GB variant priced at €1,099 (roughly Rs. 92,600). However, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to be available in 8GB + 128GB model for €1,249 (roughly Rs. 1,05,500), 12GB + 256GB for €1,349 (roughly Rs. 1,14,000) and in the top version. – Linear variant 12GB + 512GB priced at EUR 1,499 (approx. Rs. 1,22,400).
Separately, the tipster on Weibo has general infographic showing the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. It is assumed that the new flagship will have up to 512 GB of internal memory and a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a frequency of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits.

The infographic shared by the leaker suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with a base 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, along with 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB storage options. The phone will also run Android 12 with One UI 4.1 and come with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with HDR10+ support and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone also has Exynos 2200 in some markets and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in others.
Additionally, the infographic reveals there will be a quad rear camera setup: a 108MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens, a 10MP telephoto lens, a 10MP sensor with an f/4.9 periscope lens, and a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens.
It appears that Samsung has also provided a 40MP selfie camera on the front of the Galaxy S22 Ultra with an f/2.2 lens.
The infographic suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Also, along with the phone came the S Pen, which is said to have a latency of 2.8 milliseconds.
