Samsung Galaxy S22 may significantly rise in price

Samsung may raise the price of the Samsung Galaxy S22, according to a new report.

Just a month ago, we reported speculation that Samsung kept its Samsung Galaxy S21 pricing model to the Galaxy S22.

However, it is now claimed that the company will raise the prices of its flagship phones by $ 100 for the entire Galaxy S22 lineup.

According to the tipster @ chunvn8888This would translate into a likely starting price of $ 899 (which is likely to be £ 869) for the entry-level Galaxy S22. The Samsung Galaxy S21 started at $ 799 / £ 769 just over a year ago.

For the rest of the Galaxy S22 lineup, we’re expecting $ 1,099 for the Galaxy S22 Plus and $ 1,299 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. With the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus, this price hike may seem a little daunting, as all indications are that they are relatively incremental upgrades to their Galaxy S21 predecessors.

In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, we could simply allow such a price increase as it could be something of a departure from the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. All reports point to a spiritual successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with a similar design and built-in S Pen stylus.

One of the components of the Galaxy S22 that is up in the air at the time of writing is the alleged Exynos 2200 processor. Samsung was supposed to announce the new flagship chip yesterday, Jan. 11, but mysteriously ditched it with no explanation.
