Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup slated to launch next month at Galaxy Unpacked

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series has long been part of leaks and rumors. The South Korean tech company was previously thought to be showcasing the series at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which wrapped up last week. The new Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup is expected to include the vanilla Galaxy S22, as well as the Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra models. Now, a new leak suggests the highly anticipated flagship series will launch on February 8th during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. Separately, a major update to the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s S Pen is expected.

According to report According to Korean media outlet DDaily, Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event virtually on February 8th and unveil the Galaxy S22 series during the event. Pre-registrations for the Galaxy S22 models are reported to begin on February 9th. The pre-ordered devices will reportedly begin shipping on February 21st, while the Galaxy S22 series phones will go on regular sale starting February 24th. …

Separately known tipster Zaryab Khan (@xeetechcare) general some alleged Galaxy S22 Ultra specs on Twitter. According to the informant, the response time to the S Pen input in the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra will be 2.8ms. According to the leak, this is a significant reduction and almost 3x lower latency compared to the 9ms latency on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed any details about the Galaxy S22 series yet, but pricing, designs, and specs for upcoming phones have been announced multiple times over the past few months. The regular Samsung Galaxy S22 is expected to cost $ 799 (roughly Rs 60,300). Upcoming Galaxy S22 smartphones are expected to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood with an Exynos variant for select markets.

The phones were recently leaked in a video showcasing the design. The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 + can carry triple rear cameras with camera modules located on the top left of their rear. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is expected to be the most premium phone in the upcoming series, is expected to feature four rear cameras. According to recent leaks, the camera modules of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra will have “Super Clear Lens”.
