We got a better idea of the Samsung Galaxy S22’s design with unboxing videos showing the dummy devices.
There have been many leaks and well-informed rumors about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone lineup, including official press releases giving insight into the design.
But we haven’t seen anything more revealing in terms of design than the recent unboxing video posted by Unpack therapy…
The fact that the video has since been dropped from the list suggests that the popular tech YouTuber got too close to it. Fortunately, the internet did its business as usual and the video was re-uploaded many times. The footage appears to confirm previous leaks, including the aforementioned “official” press snapshot.
We are most likely looking at the Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. While the first two are a lot like last year’s Samsung Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has more in common with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
You have the same flat top and bottom edges blended with the same curved side edges. However, the camera module is not as pronounced. In case you missed it, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is widely thought to continue the legacy of the Note, complete with an integrated S Pen stylus.
As you can see from the comparison shots, the Samsung Galaxy S22 looks a little more compact than previous models, which should provide more options for fans of small phones. It is widely believed that it features a 6.1-inch display.
There is no word yet on when Samsung may launch the Galaxy S22 lineup, but with the leaks getting louder and faster, you should think it is keen to end its business early. Last year’s Galaxy S21 lineup launched in January, so fingers crossed.
