Samsung Galaxy S21 FE fully revealed in huge leak

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE remains one of our most anticipated phones, and while it may not arrive this year, we at least know a lot about it.

We were deeply impressed with the Galaxy S20 FE and were looking forward to the sequel, which many have speculated to arrive this summer. While the phone has yet to go official, this latest leak demonstrates pretty much everything there is to know about it.

Like the first FE (or Fan Edition), the S21 FE is expected to be a more affordable version of the current Galaxy flagship. These details (via Coinbrs) show that the S21 FE will be powered by Qualcomm or Exynos chipsets, specifically Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100.

Offering two chipset options is hardly a new step for Samsung, but it’s a bit surprising. While the S20 FE was available in both Exynos and Qualcomm variants, they were used to differentiate between 4G (Exynos) and 5G (Qualcomm) models. Since both of these new chipsets are 5G, it looks like Samsung could stick with the same thing all over the place.

The leak also suggests they will have 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 4,500mAh battery, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. What’s a little disappointing is the relatively slow 15W charging.

As for the camera, expect to see a 64MP main sensor paired with a depth sensor and an ultra wide-angle camera. We wouldn’t be surprised if the main difference between the S21 FE and the regular S21 is the power of the optics. You also lose the zoom camera present on the S21.

The screen sounds magical, just like its sibling, although it measures 6.4 inches, has a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch in the middle for a selfie camera.

While we have a lot of details about the phone, the release date has yet to be officially confirmed. The latest talk suggests Samsung may host an Unpacked event in early January to finally unveil the S21 FE.
