Samsung Galaxy A33 5G certification, Galaxy A53 5G Bluetooth SIG hints at imminent launch

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G have received Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certification, bringing the phones one step closer to launch. The listing shows that the Samsung Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 will ship with Bluetooth v5.1 connectivity. The upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones have also recently been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting at their imminent launch in India. The Samsung Galaxy A53 is expected to be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A52, which was introduced in March 2021, while the Galaxy A33 5G is likely to succeed the Samsung Galaxy A32, released in January 2021.

The Bluetooth SIG website has listed Galaxy A33 in different variants with model numbers SM-A336B, SM-A336E and SM-A336M. Samsung Galaxy A53 has appeared on the website in two versions with model numbers SM-A536B and SM-A536E. The listing lists January 26 as the publication date and shows both phones have Bluetooth v5.1 connectivity. The Bluetooth SIG listing also suggests that the phones will support dual SIM slots.

The listings of two Galaxy devices on the Bluetooth SIG website were first noticed from SamMobile.

Samsung has yet to confirm the development of the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53, but previous reports have even suggested possible smartphone specs.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Specifications (Expected)

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The display is said to have a hole for a selfie camera. The phone is expected to have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

The leaked renders of the Galaxy A33 5G suggest a quad-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel sensor. Samsung is said to provide a 13MP selfie camera on the upcoming Galaxy A-series phone. It will also likely include a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is said to be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Specifications (Expected)

According to the TENAA listing, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A53 5G may have a 6.46-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) display with an AMOLED panel. The fingerprint sensor is supposed to be under the display. According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A53 5G will be powered by Exynos 1200 SoC. It is speculated that it will have 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.

The phone is said to have a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP main camera, a 32MP secondary camera, and a 5MP tertiary camera. For selfies, the Galaxy A53 5G can be equipped with a 32-megapixel camera. It is expected to be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery.
