Redmi Note 12 series receives network access license, expected to debut in Q2 2022

According to a well-known leaker, the Redmi Note 12 series has been licensed to access the network in China. Smartphones are codenamed L16 and L16U. The latter is said to be related to the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The smartphones belonging to this series are said to come with high-performance MediaTek SoCs – possibly MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 mobile platforms. The Redmi Note 12 series is the successor to the Redmi Note 11 series and should be launched in the second quarter of 2022.

The Tipster digital chat station has general two images on Weibo showing two Xiaomi smartphones with model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C. He says that these phones are codenamed L16 and L16U and belong to the Redmi Note 12 series. He goes on to claim that these phones will be high-end mid-range phones. While Digital Chat Station said the series will launch in the second quarter of 2022, tipster Abhishek Yadav was more specific and stated that Redmi phones could debut in April or May.

Referring to the digital chat station, MySmartPrice reports that Redmi Note 12 series smartphones will be equipped with high-end MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC. The phones are also expected to have a unique industrial style, high performance and extended battery life.

According to earlier report According to Notebookcheck, the Redmi Note 12 series will consist of three phones – Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The Redmi Note 12 series is the successor to the Redmi Note 11 series and is considered as the main product line of Redmi after the launch of the Redmi K50 series.
