Redmi K60 Series Launch Teased By Redmi General Manager, Debut Scheduled For December 27th

The Redmi K60 series will soon be launched in China, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing confirmed on Thursday after some initial speculation. Xiaomi’s chief executive hasn’t announced the exact launch date and specifications of the models, but a new leak suggests that the latest Redmi K-series phones will officially go on sale in China on December 27. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the regular Redmi K60 and the Redmi K60 Pro. It is said that it will go on sale from December 31st. The former is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC, while the latter may contain a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood.

Lu Weibing, via publish on Weibo teased the arrival of the Redmi K60 series. The post did not reveal details about the smartphone series, but it does claim that the handset will be “a universe of performance.” It also appears marked “coming soon”. However, the exact launch date and time of the Redmi K60 series is still not revealed.

According to the source, the phone will be launched in China on December 27. It is expected that it will go on sale from December 31st. This data is consistent with past leaks.

The Redmi K60 Pro is said to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC. On the other hand, the vanilla Redmi K60 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The display of future devices is 2K resolution.

Redmi K60 may have a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to get a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64MP main camera sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, it is said to have a 16-megapixel camera. It is expected to pack a 5500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
