Redmi K50S Pro will get a 200-megapixel camera and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

Redmi may be getting ready to launch the Redmi K50S and K50S Pro in China. Both of these phones are speculated to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and are expected to be China models. Now, the famous tipster has revealed a few other key features of the Redmi K50S Pro. This phone is likely to be the first Xiaomi smartphone with a 200MP camera. It is believed to be a rebadged version of the Xiaomi 12T Pro that is said to be launched globally.

Tipster digital chat station shared mail on Weibo mentions the key features of the upcoming smartphone, which should be released in China. It is believed to be powered by the SM8475 (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC) chipset and may pack a 5000mAh battery. The phone is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate display and likely a 200MP sensor. Tipster stated in the comments that this phone was not the Motorola X30 Pro/Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, which is also expected to feature a 200MP camera. Therefore, this smartphone could be the Redmi K50S Pro.

Redmi K50S Pro is considered to be the Chinese variant of Xiaomi 12T Pro. According to a recent report, the Xiaomi 12T series will also feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Both of these phones have recently been spotted on the China Compulsory Certificate (3C) site, which may indicate an imminent launch. The report also mentions that both of these smartphones are codenamed Diting. Xiaomi is unlikely to launch Redmi K50S Pro and Xiaomi 12T Pro in India.
