Redmi K50 series includes 108MP main camera and Snapdragon 8-series SoC

It is reported that the Redmi K50 series smartphones are gradually moving towards launch in China as the main specifications of the flagship series phones have surfaced on the Internet. It is reported that the new smartphones are equipped with a 108 megapixel main sensor and support for 67W fast charging. The upcoming lineup from the Chinese smartphone maker will reportedly hit the market in early 2022. The Redmi K50 series will replace the Redmi K30 and Redmi K40 smartphones. The Redmi K50 series is expected to include the vanilla Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and the top-end Redmi K50 Pro +.

Tipster digital chat station on Weibo published the main characteristics of the smartphone series Xiaomi i11. The Tipster is probably talking about the upcoming Redmi K50 models here. According to him, one of several phones in this series will have a high-quality screen and will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8-series chipset. The alleged smartphone features a 108MP main sensor and a large battery with 67W fast charging support. The upcoming Redmi K50 models are expected to feature JBL-powered stereo speakers and an X-axis motor. These characteristics are likely to be seen in the Redmi K50 Pro and K50 Pro + smartphones.

Past leaks have suggested an in-display fingerprint sensor in the standard Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro +. The Redmi K50 is said to have a 48MP primary sensor on the back, while the Redmi K50 Pro is said to offer a 50MP primary sensor. The leaks also suggested a 108MP primary rear sensor on the Redmi K50 Pro + model and support for 120W fast charging, while other models are said to offer 100W maximum fast charging support.

In September of this year, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro phones on the world markets. Earlier, there were rumors that Xiaomi would launch the Xiaomi 11T as the Redmi K40S in the Chinese market, but Redmi CEO Lu Weibing reportedly denied the launch of the Redmi K40S. However, it has not been confirmed if the alleged Redmi phone will debut the flagship Snapdragon 8-series SoC as a model in the upcoming K50 lineup.
