Redmi 10 Prime unveiled by Xiaomi Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain May Launch Soon

The Redmi 10 Prime was teased by Xiaomi Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain on Twitter with a cryptic tweet. The phone is expected to go on sale in the country shortly after obtaining the necessary certifications. Rumored to be the rebranded Redmi 10, which launched globally earlier this week. Jain did not reveal which phone he is linking to in the tweet, and no launch date has been given either. The Redmi 10 Prime will be the first Redmi 10 series phone in India.

Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter to tease the upcoming Redmi 10 Prime. While the tweet doesn’t actually mention the name of the phone, it does have a series of primes listed in sequence. Even Jaina’s name on Twitter was changed to a set of prime numbers. Equating the first 26 primes to alphabets, the sequence of numbers used in tweets spells “Redmi’s great superstar record.” This suggests that Jain is teasing the Redmi 10 Prime, however there is no launch date in the tweet.

The Redmi 10 Prime was reportedly spotted on the Bluetooth SIG listing recently and is said to come with model number 21061119BI. The letter “I” at the end suggests that this is an Indian variant of the phone, but since the model number is exactly the same as the model number for Redmi 10 (except for the last letter, which is “G” for global in the case of Redmi 10), which suggests that Redmi 10 Prime could be renamed Redmi 10 in India.

If this turns out to be a rebranding of the Redmi 10, we may be able to get an idea of what to expect from the Redmi 10 Prime in terms of technical specifications. It can come with a 6.5-inch AdaptiveSync display with Full HD + (1080 x 2400 pixels) and 90Hz refresh rate. It can run on the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, a quad rear camera can be installed with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor and two 2MP sensors for macro and depth sensing. The Redmi 10 Prime may come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse wired charging.

Xiaomi has not shared any details about the Redmi 10 Prime, but it is expected to be officially unveiled shortly.
